Oh my goodness, this session has the best of both worlds— Downtown Huntsville & the glorious Monte Sano. Downtown Huntsville offered a lot of really great spots for the engagement session for Anna & Andrew— rooftop views, historical buildings, blooming trees, the works my friends. Coming from a small town, the popularity of the downtown urban setting for portraits here kind of surprised me. But after scouting around and really taking a look, I can understand why downtown Huntsville gets flooded with photographers— there’s just so much variety and no matter what time of year, it’s beautiful and bustling.

From downtown, we moved up to Monte Sano, which is a beautiful State Park atop the Monte Sano mountain that is just ten minutes up from the road from the city. With greenery just starting to peak through after a long and cold winter, we got some really soft pastels to compliment the glowing, evening light.

I’m so stoked on this session and so stoked on this couple! I’m kind of bummed I have to wait almost an entire year before I get to have these two in front of the lens again for their January wedding. Their chemistry is just too good!
